Straightener Operator

Smith Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Straightener Operator for a metal manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up, operating, and monitoring straightening equipment while maintaining quality and production standards.

Location: Fort Worth, TX 76106
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: 11:30 PM – 11:30 AM
Rotating Schedule: 4 Days On / 3 Days Off | Every Other Weekend

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor straightening machinery.
  • Calibrate and adjust the straightening machine according to material thickness, diameter, and work order specifications.
  • Load and position materials properly for the straightening process.
  • Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for straightness, dimensions, and overall quality.
  • Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
  • Read and follow work orders and production specifications.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or product quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
  • Perform additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience operating a straightening machine or similar metal-processing equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working in a metal manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Ability to set up and adjust machinery based on material and work-order specifications.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production work.
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule and every other weekend.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must meet E-Verify requirements.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
