Job description

Position Summary: The Kitchen Steward is an entry-level position that provides important support to restaurant staff while offering fundamental training and experience to the employee. The steward maintains high standards for cleanliness by washing tableware, kitchen items and performing other cleaning tasks as assigned. Stewards store all dishes properly to maintain a, organized, functional workspace. We pay premiums wages beginning no less than $15.00 and offer Paid time for full time team members AND Health Insurance is offered to all!

Core Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitation:
    • Washing dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
    • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment.
    • Operating and maintaining dishwashing machines.
    • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Food Preparation and Storage:
    • Assisting with food preparation tasks as needed.
    • Storing food items properly to prevent spoilage.
    • Unloading deliveries and ensuring proper storage.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Assisting with inventory management tasks, such as restocking shelves and checking stock levels.
  • Other Duties:
    • Disposing of trash and waste properly.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
    • Assisting other kitchen staff as needed.
    • May be required to mop floors, sweep, and clean work surfaces.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
