Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth, comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, formulate clinical diagnoses, and design effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other relevant approaches.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services promptly to clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and immediate well-being.
  • Document and maintain precise client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments, while adhering to strict ethical and legal confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care and to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources, advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Pursue continuous professional development by engaging in ongoing training, workshops, and relevant professional activities to stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Dalton Counseling Center, you will work primarily with adults, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, each facing unique challenges. Our clients seek therapy for various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflicts, and life transitions, requiring personalized support and effective therapeutic techniques to help them navigate their paths toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • Must hold an active and valid license as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Florida, with credentials such as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a minimum of two years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, fostering a therapeutic alliance.
  • Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team-based environment.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a clinical outpatient setting is preferred but not strictly required for this role, allowing entry-level candidates with pertinent educational backgrounds to be considered.

Compensation and Benefits
