Entry level sports writers are individuals who are new to the field of sports journalism and are responsible for covering sports events, writing articles, and reporting on athletes, teams, and games. They typically work for newspapers, magazines, websites, or other media outlets, and their work may include interviewing players and coaches, attending games, and producing content under tight deadlines. Entry level sports writers often start with basic assignments, such as covering local sports or writing recaps, while building their portfolios and experience for more advanced roles.
