Assistant Sports Communication – Media ContentBuild Your Portfolio. Lead Game-Day Media. Tell the Story of College Athletics.

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and driven media professional to join our athletics team as an Assistant Sports Communication – Media Content. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain elite, hands-on experience in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment, working directly with the Director of Athletic Communications to shape the digital voice and visual identity of a competitive athletic program.

This role is ideal for candidates who want to build a strong professional portfolio, gain real broadcast and content leadership experience, and make an immediate impact in college athletics.

What You’ll Do???? Create & Lead High-Level Content
  • Produce dynamic, engaging content across social media, web, and digital platforms
  • Write game recaps, feature stories, and press releases
  • Design graphics for game-day, recruiting, and brand storytelling
  • Capture and edit photo and video content that elevates program visibility
???? Run Live Event Production
  • Be actively involved in live streaming and broadcast production for home events
  • Operate cameras, manage audio/graphics, and support on-air talent coordination
  • Help lead and supervise student production crews—including simultaneous events
  • Gain real experience in multi-camera and digital broadcast environments
???? Own Game-Day Experience
  • Play a key role in game-day communication and operations
  • Contribute to live stats, media coordination, and real-time storytelling
  • Work cross-functionally with coaching and operations staff
???? Work With Data & Performance Insight
  • Compile and manage team statistics across multiple sports
  • Utilize reporting tools to support content, storytelling, and performance insights
Operate Like a Professional
  • Assist with communication strategy, scheduling, and media planning
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and lead key initiatives throughout the year
  • Build relationships across the athletic department and campus
What We’re Looking For

Preferred Background & Experience
  • Experience working in college athletics, sports organizations, or media environments
  • Proven ability in digital content creation and storytelling
  • Experience with live streaming, broadcasting, or video production (YouTube, ESPN+, etc.)
  • Skills in graphic design, photography, and/or videography
  • Familiarity with game-day operations or athletic communications
