The Legal Support Assistant (LSA) Program is a dynamic, entry-level opportunity designed for recent and upcoming college graduates looking to launch their careers in a professional services environment. Over the course of this two-year rotational program, each class of LSAs will gain hands-on experience through approximately three eight-month rotations across a variety of legal departments and business services teams.
This immersive program offers a unique introduction to the business of law at an international law firm. Participants will build foundational professional skills, develop meaningful relationships across the firm, and gain exposure to multiple practice areas and operational functions. From collaborating with attorneys and business professionals to supporting high-impact client work, LSAs play an important role in the day-to-day success of the firm.
Qualified candidates should be organized, proactive, and exercise sound judgment when handling matters. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional client service, internally and externally.
  • Support attorneys, legal teams, and business services professionals with a range of administrative tasks including document preparation, scheduling, and data management
  • Draft and revise legal materials using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Coordinate meetings, internal and external events, and conference calls, including handling logistics such as catering and technology setup.
  • Assist with time entries, new business intake forms, and conduct client and topic-specific research.
  • Handle document management tasks, including printing, scanning, and distribution in collaboration with Document Services.
  • Support billing, expense reports and vendor invoices.
  • Assist with additional projects and provide backup support as needed.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 4x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $55,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
