Proskauer is seeking a Senior Paralegal Services Coordinator to join the Paralegal Services team in New York. Reporting to the Manager of Paralegal Services, the Senior Coordinator will further the Firm's strategic objective of training, developing and retaining highly accomplished and dedicated paralegal professionals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day staffing across corporate, labor and litigation practice areas to improve utilization and manage resources
  • Communicate with internal client base and manage expectations with regard to assignments and timeframes
  • Administer department's talent acquisition process, including sourcing, recruiting and onboarding of entry level and experienced paralegal candidates
  • Track weekly paralegal time entry to ensure timeliness and compliance
  • Coordinate annual Project Assistant orientation program including drafting training schedules, arranging travel for new hires, organizing speakers, trainers, conference rooms and meals for the program
  • Assist with the firmwide paralegal/associate mentoring program
  • Schedule and oversee firmwide weekend and holiday on-call coverage program across departments
  • Assist with annual and mid-year review processes, including soliciting and compiling written evaluations
  • Manage conference room set-ups and audio visual coordination across offices, including department meetings, interviews and trainings
  • Assist with out-of-town trial logistics, war room set-ups, consultants and supplies
  • Coordinate department's requirements with IT, Payroll, Finance, HR, Operations and Office Administrators

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 3 years' related experience, preferably at a large law firm
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as the ability to learn new software and applications
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to quickly and proactively identify problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek consultation
  • Professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and team player mentality
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet demands of the position

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation range for this position is $65,000-$85,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
