Job Functions:
- Responsible for using Solidworks and associated software to generate the shop paperwork per the Engineering build scheduler, including drawings and work instructions.
- Generate Solidworks designs & drawings for orders of CDI products in a timely fashion including 3D, break-sheet, engineering paperwork
- Create basic 3D drawings for new opportunities
- Review of completed jobs to ensure CDI Design Standards are being followed & customer dimensions are correct.
- Contact customers to acquire missing information when required
- Strive for continuous improvement by working on ways to make job duties easier, faster, or better value to CDI
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Solidworks certification or practical experience using Sheet metal, parts and assemblies
- CAD Drafting - 2D, Solid modeling, Assembly, Part Drawings, detailing, dimensioning
- Basic mechanical drafting standards
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong technical aptitude - Able to read and generate 3D drawings.
- Able to create drawings from sketches and concept discussions.
- Strong written & oral communication skills.
- Able to interface with internal and external customers
- Organized, on target, on time and goal oriented
