Job OverviewBioLegacy Research is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In Vivo Research Technician to support preclinical animal studies. This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on working directly with laboratory animals.
This position is ideal for candidates looking to gain foundational experience in in vivo research. The Technician will support study teams by assisting with animal care, study preparation, and basic procedures under close supervision.
This is not a bench-based or in vitro-focused role.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with handling and restraint of laboratory animals
Support daily monitoring of animal health, behavior, and well-being
Assist with preparation of study materials, supplies, and procedure areas
Support dosing activities by preparing materials and assisting senior staff
Assist with basic sample collection (e.g., blood, tissues) under supervision
Help maintain clean and organized procedure and animal areas
Record observations and study-related activities accurately and in a timely manner
Follow all SOPs, GLP guidelines, and animal welfare (IACUC) requirements
Support necropsy and tissue collection activities as needed
Work closely with team members and follow direction from supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Animal Science, or related field preferred
Required:Strong interest in in vivo animal research
Willingness to work hands-on with laboratory animals (rodents)
Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn new techniques
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, team-oriented, and strong work ethic
Preferred (but not required):Any exposure to animal handling or laboratory environments (academic, internship, or work experience)
Basic understanding of research or preclinical studies
This role is NOT a fit for candidates seeking primarily:
Cell culture or in vitro laboratory work
Bench-based molecular biology roles without animal work
