On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment - just like our patients have come to expect.As an Electrician, your workfocuses on performing the installation,maintenanceand repair of systems within the hospital, ensuring preventative and ongoing monitoring and issue resolution.These efforts are vital to our mission to become the best places to receive healthcare in the world.

A caregiver in this position works variable shifts, 10:30pm to 7:00am, with rotating full weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Coordinate and perform electrical equipment maintenance,installationsand modifications according to applicable codes and regulations.

  • Coordinate and perform testing of electrical systems as required by codes.

  • Troubleshoot andanalyzeelectrical problems.

  • Assistcontractors withlocatingand avoiding hidden electrical circuits.

  • Perform and develop preventative maintenance measures for electrical equipment in compliance with applicable codes and standards to ensure operational readiness and performance.

  • Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Three years of experience as a fully qualified Electrician OR military experience a Construction Electrician (CE), Engineman (EN), Interior Electrician (12R), Electrical Systems (3E0X1)or similar role

  • Experience with multi-phase systems of low and high voltage

  • Ability to read andcomprehendblueprints

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Certificate from an approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program or Trade School

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands require full body motion, including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.

  • Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery.

  • Typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 poundsand/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 pounds.

  • Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $30.41

Maximum hourly: $46.38
