Opportunity Overviewย 
The Factory Applications group is seeking a motivated, self-driven engineer to support our Silicon Photonics product team. You will collaborate across the company to develop practical application solutions, building on a foundation in silicon photonics, electronics, and software while growing ATE industry expertise.

This entry-level role requires a strong core engineering foundation and a growth mindset to take on diverse, hands-on technical work.

  • Develop knowledgeย and expertiseย onย semiconductor device testing.ย 
  • Develop knowledge and expertise onย Automated Test Equipment (ATE)ย -ย specifically theย UltraFLEXplusย family of Teradyne testersย -ย with a focus on ourย Silicon Photonics andย Software product areas, with additional knowledge in Digital,ย Serial, andย DC a plus.
  • Develop, debug,ย and deploy test solutions for semiconductor devicesย -ย often done in collaborative environment.ย 
  • Supportย customers on tester operation and capability.ย

Growth Area:

  • Develop strong customer relationshipsย at a technical level, to gainย a deeperย insightย into theย currentย usage and futureย directionย of our products.ย 
  • Investigate problems and recommend solutions on Teradyne ATE platformsย to optimize customer throughputย andย test quality.ย 
  • Workย directlyย with customerย test engineersย to understand and improveย their testย processes.ย 
  • Work closely with theย Teradyneย engineering community on new product developmentย - from requirements definitionย toย product release to market andย continued thruย customer support.ย 
  • Generate andย deliverย productย training,ย as well asย technical papersย toย both industry and Teradyne user groups.ย 
  • Develop the skills required to read PCB schematics and layouts.

  • BS (or higher) inย EE (Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences)ย 
  • Experience 0 to 2 years inย a relatedย technicalย field.ย ย 
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (Silicon Photonics, digital communications and signal processing, power delivery, signal processing, RF device technology and testing a plus).
  • Proficient with generalย softwareย programmingย (preferredย .NET - C#, VB and Python)ย andย common algorithms.ย 
  • Strong analyticalย andย problem-solving skills.ย 
  • Abilityย to workย effectively both within a team and individuallyย -ย planning, execution, tracking, and reporting.ย 
  • Strongย interpersonalย andย relationship-building skillsย - aย commitment to teamwork and "can-do" spirit.ย 
  • Strongย written and verbal communication skills.ย Ability to develop andย deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics.ย

Compensation:ย 
The base salary range for this role is$97,800 to 156,400.This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.ย ย 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.ย
