Duties: The Software Test Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will be responsible for maintaining, designing, and operating test equipment and simulators along with the automated tests for embedded software. Collaborate with CNH systems and software engineering teams to ensure the best electronic and software solutions are provided to CNH consumers. Analyze system requirements to define the testing strategy and plans. Execute tests using virtual Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and bench tools. Develop robust, flexible, and re-usable test scripting for automated testing. Analyze test failures to identify root causes, such as incorrect test case or defect. Complete test data analysis, prepare reports and provide recommendations based on findings. Create test reports, defects and communicate test results to team members. Ensure traceability of test cases, test results, and defects to requirements. Coordinate with HIL engineers and validation team members to ensure quality test coverage. Collaborate with systems engineering regarding the functionality and features to be verified. Supervise supplier test development and other supporting activities. Identify and implement new test procedures for process improvements. Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week. Salary: $86,625 - $ 132,825/year
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field, plus 2 years of experience as a software test engineer or related occupation. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: (1) agricultural machines, farming applications and technologies; (2) Python and MATLAB scripting; (3) developing test frameworks including Robot, PyUnit, and Pytest; (4) CAN/LIN protocols and CANalyzer, CANoe, or INCA; (5) GIT, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or GitHub; (6) functional and regression software testing; (7) integration requirement management and defect tracking tools including Polarion, Doors, and Jira.
