Location: Salt Lake, Utah day 1 oniste
Duration : Long Term
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented QA Lead with strong experience in documenting test plans, executing test cases, and providing testing status for large complex projects specific in the banking domain space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing applications built on or integrated with FIS platforms and a solid understanding of banking operations, transactions, payments, core banking processes, and customer journeys.The QA Lead will be working with many teams to enable test of certain features, align with other state holders to validate test results and include working with the automation test to automate test cases. This resource will support the Digital Banking Platform ecosystem by testing new features, platform upgrades, APIs, and end-to-end user experiences. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to design effective testing solutions, and a practical understanding of UI/UX and customer experience.
The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, the DBP Product team, engineering teams, and FIS platform teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through comprehensive functional and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to define comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases.
  • Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across banking applications, as applicable
  • Educate/train the test automation team on what should be automated
  • Validate banking workflows, business rules, interfaces, APIs, and data integrity across FIS-enabled applications.
  • Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and report defects using standard defect management tools (JIRA).
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
  • Partner with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues and support release validation activities.
  • Support compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and quality assurance best practices where applicable
  • Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards for daily status updates.
  • Ability to self-organized based on demanding priorities and provide adhoc test data requests when needed
  • Use Amex AI toolkits to further enhance and optimize the end-to-end test management lifecycle

Qualifications:
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Work with product and engineering stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools - Karate, Cypress
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
- Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements
- Experience triggering testing in the context of CI environments
- Experience with WireMock, Jmeter, Selenium, Jenkins, Postman is nice to have
