Mesa is seeking an Engineering Associate to work as part of a collaborative design team for the design of Power Substations. This role will be heavily engaged in the ever-advancing power delivery segment in one of our nation's fastest developing, most well-funded initiatives in the country. This opportunity is ideal for the entry/junior-level engineer seeking an environment which will provide technical growth, daily collaboration with subject matter expertise utilizing sophisticated methods and tools in engineering analysis and design. Exposure to a wide range of power delivery design experience will be available in this role including both Greenfield and Brownfield design with voltages ranging from Distribution level up to and including 500kV. Responsibilities
  • Development of subject matter expertise in Substation design.
  • Collaborate with design professionals to provide high quality design for reliable future power grid growth.
  • Gain and share expertise and assist others in the field of Power Delivery Substation.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to utilize CAD software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (ABET Accredited)
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Customer Support acumen
  • Entry-Level to three (3) years of applicable experience (entry-level may apply)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Passed FE Exam
  • Experience in Power Substation design
  • Engineering Studies including Power Systems coursework
  • Keen interest in learning and using the latest software tools, methods, and technologies to develop Power Substation design
