This position is for a Software Engineer who has professional experience in the development and implementation of algorithm software for both large-scale HPC environments and highly optimized and performant real-time applications. What You Will Do * Work alongside scientists (physicists, mathematicians, signal processing experts, and more) to understand algorithm goals and limitations.
* Optimize software for performance, including parallel processing and leveraging GPUs and other processing accelerators.
* Evolve algorithms originating in Python and MATLAB into optimized C, C++, and CUDA code.
* Model and test new algorithms in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
* Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated real-time software.
* Work within a cross-discipline team.
* Contribute to proposals as well as preliminary and critical design reviews.
* Have opportunity (optional) to travel for customer collaboration and community interaction.
* Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and meanwhile with a Secret clearance you will support meaningful unclassified and collateral tasks.
* This job is onsite in Plano, TX; applicants must be in the area or willing to relocate to it. Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C, C++ or closely related software languages.
* Development experience on Linux-based systems.
* Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer * Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
* Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
