Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our job shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and a passion for precision engineering. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machines to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. We are also looking for CNC programmer, we use MasterCam.

Duties

  • Operate manual and CNC machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts and components.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM programming software for efficient production runs.
  • Assemble fabricated components into finished products while adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of machining techniques and tools.
  • Proficiency in CNC operation and programming, with experience in CAM programming preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and fabrication processes is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A background in machining or related fields is highly desirable.
