Project Engineer I

The Project Engineer I role is an entry point into that legacy and the future we are building. This position supports Mission Critical projects and may require full-time presence on a job site. It is designed for someone eager to learn, highly organized, and ready to grow within a fast-paced construction environment.


Position Purpose

The Project Engineer I provides essential administrative and technical support to the project team, helping ensure projects are executed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role focuses on document control, coordination support, and foundational project management skills under the guidance of experienced project leaders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized project documentation using consistent filing systems
  • Assist with drawing and specification control and distribution
  • Prepare, track, and distribute submittals and RFIs
  • Support material and equipment tracking and verification
  • Document project meetings and follow up on action items
  • Assist with change order documentation and justification
  • Support subcontractor coordination and field communication
  • Contribute to project closeout documentation
  • Perform basic material quantity takeoffs
  • Follow safety protocols and support a strong safety culture
  • Actively seek learning opportunities and professional development
