Role description:

We are currently searching for an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our team in the Tampa, FL office or Atlanta, GA office.

We are looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to issues for our clients and communities. Collaborating with our experienced professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

Working together with clients and using techniques like design thinking, we can get to the heart of our clients' most pressing challenges and work together to solve them.  

Role accountabilities:

As an Entry Level Structural Engineer you will work on water/ wastewater structural  engineering design and construction projects; including production of design calculations, technical reports, permitting, detailed design and engineering plans and specifications for water/wastewater projects including plant upgrades, storage facilities, pipelines, storm water systems, pump stations, and distribution / collection systems. You will organize and conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work which has a well-defined scope, working directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office / project staff, client and sub-contractors, throughout the project life cycle. The expectation will be that you will take direction from supervisor, task manager or project engineer to work on projects including budgets and schedules, and assist with the development and management of plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work.

  • Strong structural analysis/design skills, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, with ability to take on new projects, and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks and challenges regularly. 
  • Familiarity/experience utilizing MathCAD, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and other structural software.
  • Willing to taking on new challenges and committed to providing quality work.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or experience in Engineering Consulting.
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with Mathcad, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.

Experience with water/ wastewater facility and/or heavy industrial structural analysis and design.
