We are seeking an entry level Electrical Design Engineer to join our FAST Labs team. Our engineers create and develop advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing in a fast-paced research and development (R&D) environment.
In this role, you will have opportunities to work as an electrical engineer on a cross functional team made up of Scientists, Systems/Software/Hardware Engineers, and Program Management under the guidance of a Chief Engineer on research programs. As a FAST Labs Electrical Engineer, you will:
  • Assist in translating system requirements into compliant complex printed board assembly designs.
  • Technical trade studies, evaluation of technology insertion/upgrades, laboratory test and troubleshooting.
  • Integrate Evaluate hardware module performance using simulation tools and prototype hardware in a Laboratory environment.
  • Will execute electrical engineering design and development.
  • Will perform electronic circuit design and be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Create design documentation and verification test procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities may include developing technical reports, presentations, and verification artifacts as well as performing trade studies, work estimates and integration activities.
  • It will be expected that the candidate be proficient with laboratory equipment and techniques and be executing in a small team environment.
  • This position will require ~25% travel
