Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to support our Global Life Sciences Industry Team. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of life sciences, digital transformation, marketing, and technology within a global software organization.
The Life Sciences Industry Intern will support Siemens Digital Industries Software's global Life Sciences organization by assisting with the development of sales enablement materials, marketing content, competitive intelligence, and industry research that support customer engagement across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device markets.
Working directly with the Global Industry Development Lead for Life Sciences and receiving mentorship from global industry and technology leaders, the intern will contribute to customer-facing content, market analysis, digital transformation initiatives, and strategic go-to-market activities. Additionally, the intern will complete Mendix certification training and develop custom applications that support Life Sciences industry initiatives and business objectives.
This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to global industry strategy, emerging technologies, and the digitalization of regulated life sciences environments while working alongside experienced leaders in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and enhance sales enablement materials, including customer presentations, industry overviews, and value-based messaging for Life Sciences customers
• Create and update marketing collateral, briefing materials, slide decks, and customer-facing content that support global go-to-market initiatives
• Conduct competitive intelligence research and analyze market trends across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries
• Research life sciences workflows, digital transformation initiatives, and emerging technologies to support industry strategy and customer engagement efforts
• Translate complex scientific, technical, and industry concepts into clear, compelling content for sales and marketing audiences
• Support the development of thought leadership materials and industry-focused communications
• Collaborate with global industry, technology, and business leaders to ensure content accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities
• Complete Mendix certification training and apply low-code development skills to create custom applications that support Life Sciences initiatives
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve internal processes, knowledge sharing, and customer engagement through digital solutions
• Contribute to special projects supporting global Life Sciences business development and industry marketing efforts
Required Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively
• Interest in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare industries
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to synthesize technical and business information into concise, customer-focused messaging
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other business productivity tools
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment
• Willingness to learn new technologies, including low-code application development using Mendix

The hourly range for this position is $23.00 to $50.00 for technical roles or $18.00 to $44.00 for non-technical positions. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The hourly pay range for this position is 18 per hour for first time Interns or 50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
