We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented entry-level Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. You will serve as the first point of contact for our employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues as well as support for events. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy problem solver looking to grow their career in a hands-on IT environment. 

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00.

  • IT Support: Provide Tier 1 technical support to on-site employees, diagnosing and resolving desktop, laptop, printer, and mobile device issues.
  • Hardware & Software Setup: Configure, deploy, and update computer systems using standard company imaging and provisioning processes.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Assist users with basic network connectivity issues, VPN setup, and Wi-Fi configurations.
  • Collaboration: Escalate complex, unresolved issues to Tier 2/3 support teams or vendors as necessary.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and extended (long) workdays for an extended number of days as needed.
  • Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting 50+ pounds, sitting, exposure to moderate to loud noises, and extensive walking through the building.

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree, technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+), or 1–2 years of relevant IT experience is highly preferred. 
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard PC hardware. 
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and customer-first approach to troubleshooting. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move heavy objects and set up computer equipment at various workspaces. 
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
