How much do entry level software debugger jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Entry Level Software Debugger vs Entry Level Software Tester?
| Aspect | Entry Level Software Debugger | Entry Level Software Tester |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Basic programming knowledge, understanding of debugging tools | Basic testing skills, knowledge of testing methodologies |
| Work Environment | Development teams, coding environments | Quality assurance teams, testing labs |
| Industry Usage | Software development companies, tech firms | Software companies, QA service providers |
| Common Search Intent | Differences, roles, responsibilities | Entry level testing roles, skills needed |
While both roles are entry-level positions in software quality assurance, a Software Debugger primarily focuses on identifying and fixing bugs within code, often working closely with developers. A Software Tester, on the other hand, designs and executes tests to ensure software quality without necessarily fixing bugs. Understanding these distinctions helps job seekers target the right roles based on their skills and career goals.

This program provides immersive experiences across multiple disciplines, empowering you with the technical expertise and business acumen to thrive in a dynamic, customer-facing role.
THE PERSON:
We are looking for passionate, tech-savvy, and driven recent graduates or entry-level engineering professionals that want to learn and apply their technical degrees in a dynamic job.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Pre-sales engineering and technical marketing.
- Customer support and application debugging.
- Training development and delivery for customers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems using FPGA-based solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to identify their challenges, propose solutions, and support implementation.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of FPGA hardware, software tools, and design methodologies.
- Develop and present technical demos, proofs-of-concept, and training materials.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Skills & Knowledge:
- Understanding of digital design, FPGA architectures, and hardware decription language (VHDL/Verilog)
- Familiarity with FPGA development tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus)
- Knowledge of embedded systems, signal processing, or high-speed interfaces is a plus
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-first mindset
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and tackle challenges in diverse environments
- Passion for solving challenging customer problems and sharing solutions to your peers
- Other Requirements:
