The Special Investigator 1 will complete field and desk assignments that support insurance claims referred to and accepted for investigation by the Special Investigative Unit. Basic functions include the investigation of claims, analysis, development of facts from evidence that support our SIU and claims organization. This entry level role is a career path to our experienced Special Investigator II and Special Investigator III positions. A laptop computer, cell phone, MP3 recorder, and company vehicle will be provided. Applicants must have the ability to travel within the North Hollywood area of LA.

Position Qualifications:

  • 3 years of insurance claims field investigation or professional investigation experience
  • Possess knowledge of the principles of auto casualty claims process
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Working knowledge of digital/document metadata
  • Able to work within a team environment as well as independently
  • Experience using internet and social networking for investigative purposes
  • Must possess oral and written communication skills
  • Completion of NICB Academies and/or NICTA Courses desirable
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required

The range for this position is $23.13 to $39.45. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors.
