CNC MACHINE OPERATOR/ MACHINIST - Entry Level
Fullerton, CA
2nd shift (training on 1st shift)
$17-$19/hr (DOE)
Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are looking for an CNC Lathe or Mill Operator/Machinist to work for a machine shop located in Fullerton, CA. The Operator/Machinist will be responsible to verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to drawing and process control standards.
  • Maintains specifications by observing machining process and operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Confirm with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
  • Under supervision, interprets programs to determine of sequence of operations and set-up requirements.
  • Independently sets up and operates multi-axis machines with very limited assistance.
  • Performs set-ups, tool change and resetting of tool offsets, when necessary.
  • Dis-mantles set-ups and returns tools and fixtures to proper location upon completion of manufacturing runs.
  • Reports discrepancies to Lead or Supervisor.
  • Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy procedures and meet the quality standards.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Any other duty, task and responsibility as assigned or required
