The Sample Sewer will utilize his or her precise stitching and sewing skills to support the Design and Product Development Team in creating unique garments. This person will comprehend the REVOLVE Mainline RTW and Denim design process and garment construction. He or she must apply his or her extensive sewing experience and be very comfortable running many different sewing machines (such as: Single Needle, 3 and 5 Thread Overlock, Cover Stitch, Marrow, Blind Hem, Buttonhole) and pressing equipment. This is a permanent full time role for a candidate who can ensure accuracy and efficiency in their sewing skills that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment.


Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate multiple sewing machines in a quick but safe manner

• Comprehend tech packs and sewing instructions

• Correctly sew fit samples, proto samples and SMS samples

• Prepare samples for fittings which can include duties like pressing

• Effectively meet deadlines set by the team

• Complete ad-hoc tasks and assignments as directed by management

Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Strong knowledge in garment construction in both knits and wovens

• Strong knowledge in measurement specifications

• Strong knowledge in sewing and stitching

• Understand patterns and its applications

• Efficient and quick in sewing skills

• Working independence but can also comprehend direction

• Willing to learn and flexible to change

• Strong attention to detail

• Effective time management and ability to stay organized

• Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment

• Must be able and willing to lift and carry up to 10 lbs., perform frequent repetitive finger, hand and wrist motions, as well as bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10-15+ years experience working in a similar role

• Comprehend the garment industry (basic terminologies)

• Strong knowledge of the sewing machine and its applications

Preferred Qualifications
