Job description

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform daily account maintenance and creation of pay-per-click accounts on Google, Bing, Yahoo, & other search platforms as assigned.
  • Manage the execution of search marketing campaigns & ad groups, including setup, analysis, optimization, monitoring, reporting, budget pacing & forecasting, keyword research, and expansion.
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, display network, and other facets of paid search in accordance with company goals.
  • Optimize campaign/program performance through continuous testing & monitoring including collection and analysis of negative keywords.
  • Manage the budget of all assigned paid search accounts and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for initiating the building and maintenance of reports and dashboards using search platform data plus data from additional sources.
  • Maintain and monitor keyword bids
  • Develop Mouser and ecommerce business acumen.
  • Perform administrative duties with the SEM department including (but not limited to) scheduling meetings, organizing presentations, researching and evaluating new opportunities, and coordinating global communications.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Skill evaluation: Behavioral (80%)
  • Strong Excel, Writing, & Math Skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.
  • Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate.
  • Contributes to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by multiple departments.
  • Strong experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Multilingual is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to set and track goals.

SEM Specialist I

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or work experience.

SEM Specialist II

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously build on Mouser and ecommerce business knowledge.
  • Make recommendations to improve based on monitoring keyword bids, quality scores, and other account metrics.
  • Make recommendations for A/B testing for continuous improvement.
  • Set meetings at regular intervals with external teams to align objectives and gather insights.
  • Maintain and actively pursue awareness of SEM Industry trends and changes and share this knowledge with the SEM team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or work experience.
  • 2+ years SEM experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
