Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

This position is located at various job sites, and the Security Officer will be responsible for observing and patrolling the job site to prevent theft and monitor and control access to the job site; detect any suspicious activity on the site and report such activities to a Shift Supervisor. This position will provide strong security presence and visibility on the site and assist constructors, subcontractors, vendors, and visitors with safety, security and customer services.

Tasks

  • Maintainasecuritypostorsecuritycheckpointanddealdirectlywiththeworkers and guests coming to the site.
  • Grantauthorizedvisitorsaccessandpreventunauthorizedpersonsfromenteringthesite.
  • Providedirectionstovisitorsand/orthepublic.
  • Removetrespassers and violators and detainperpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
  • Preventpropertydamage;andifanypropertydamageoccurs,theSecurityOfficerwill document such occurrenceinsecuritysoftware systemand reportimmediatelyto the Shift Supervisor.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols and scan checkpointsvia the security software systemaround the site and watch for suspicious activities and/or unsafe conditions on the site.
  • Investigatessecurity breaches, incidents, and other alarmingbehavior.
  • Write andmaintainincident reports,maintenancereportsanddailyactivitylogs.
  • Secureall doors, windows, and exits, depending on shift.
  • OtherdutiesshallbeassignedbytheShiftSupervisor.

Education and Experience
