Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Specialist in King William, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support badge verification for employees and visitors. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong customer service to help promote a secure environment. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will deliver with integrity and teamwork every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and entry screening at the location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, loading areas, and parking locations, with attention to access points and security-related conditions.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and/or delivery records, communicate with site contacts regarding arrivals and access requests, and follow emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
