Position Number: 0000GA11 Hiring Unit: Hawaiinuiakea School for Hawaiian Knowledge, Kawaihuelani, Center for Hawaiian Language Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu - HI Date Posted: 8/12/26 Closing Date: 8/28/26 Salary Information: GA-11, step 17 - $2,627.00 monthly/ $31,524 yearly. Monthly Type: 11-month Full Time/ Part Time: Part-Time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Funding: General Other Conditions: Temporary, part-time position, Continuation dependent upon availability of funds, GA eligibility requirements and satisfactory performance

Duties and Responsibilities: Attend regular meetings of the KPA director and staff. Assist in scheduling, announcing, and documenting KPA meetings. Assist in scheduling, announcing, and documenting visits to Kula Kaiapuni and community outreach.

Maintain digital and physical repositories of KPA work and research. Maintain KPA financial records and budget information. Conduct research and procurement of equipment and supplies needed to fulfill the project's objectives.

Assist in preparing progress and spending reports as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Full time Graduate Student in good standing.

Able to communicate effectively in 'olelo Hawaii, in written and spoken form, in various contexts. Comfortable using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Zoom. Desired Qualifications Current Graduate Student in Kawaihuelani.

Experience conducting research in Hawaiian language newspapers and other repositories of moolelo. Experience composing moolelo in Hawaiian. Has pilina to the community and organizations centered in a specific district of O?ahu.

Familiarity with kula kaiapuni and/o rexisting relationships with one or more kula or kumu.
