What is an entry level sawyer?

An entry level sawyer is a worker who operates saws and related equipment to cut wood, metal, or other materials, typically in a manufacturing, construction, or forestry setting. This position is usually for those new to the trade and may involve tasks such as measuring materials, setting up and maintaining saws, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Entry level sawyers often work under the supervision of experienced professionals and may receive on-the-job training to develop their skills. They are responsible for producing accurate cuts, maintaining equipment, and helping keep the work area safe and organized.

To thrive as an Entry Level Sawyer, you need a basic understanding of lumber processing, familiarity with safety protocols, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
