Job description

We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our growing, dynamic marketing and sales team. This is an opportunity to get into a leading company in an exploding market with tremendous potential. As a Business Development Representative you will be responsible for qualifying marketing leads and prospecting into target accounts. Working closely with Field Representatives, you will call into companies to identify individuals who are candidates for our solution, introduce them to Veracode's products and set follow up meetings or web based demonstrations for you and your counterpart field rep to work toward close.
This role requires a motivated self-starter capable of making things happen and delivering results. This is an inbound/outbound lead qualification position - you must be comfortable on the phone and motivated to contact prospects via multiple methods in order to achieve your targets. The Business Development Representative hired needs to be hands-on, results-oriented, metrics driven and pragmatic.
• You must be positive, flexible, willing to learn, and constantly push yourself to succeed
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an outgoing, energetic presence
• Experience with Salesforce.com or CRM Preferred
• Demonstrated work ethic and consistent track record of over achievement including initiative to prospect calls
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority
• Ability to adapt, contribute and succeed in a fast paced, rapidly changing, early stage company environment
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to start a career in technical sales
