Position Overview
Stealth Solutions is seeking a Salesforce UI/UX Designer to join our federal delivery practice. In this role, you will design human-centered, accessible experiences across both internal Salesforce applications (Lightning Experience, custom Lightning Web Components) and external-facing Digital Experience (Experience Cloud) sites for federal agency clients. You will partner closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Developers to translate agency requirements into intuitive, standards-compliant designs - from low-fidelity wireframes through high-fidelity, developer-ready mockups.
This role requires fluency in Salesforce's native design language (Salesforce Lightning Design System) as well as the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS), and a strong working knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG accessibility requirements, which are non-negotiable in federal delivery work.
Key Responsibilities

· Design end-to-end user experiences for both internal Salesforce (Lightning Experience) applications and public-facing Digital Experience / Experience Cloud sites
· Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and high-fidelity mockups/prototypes (e.g., in Figma) that translate business and user requirements into clear design solutions
· Apply and extend the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) to ensure visual and interaction consistency across custom components, page layouts, and Experience Cloud themes
· Apply USWDS components and patterns to public-facing Digital Experience sites to meet federal design and branding standards
· Ensure all designs meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility requirements, and partner with QA/accessibility testers to validate compliance
· Conduct or support user research activities - interviews, usability testing, surveys - and translate findings into personas, requirements, and design iterations
· Facilitate design workshops and reviews with federal agency stakeholders, gathering feedback and driving consensus on design direction
· Partner with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Solution Architects to ensure designs are technically feasible within platform constraints (page layouts, dynamic forms, Lightning components, navigation, branding)
· Maintain and evolve a design system / component library to ensure consistency across projects and client engagements
· Document design decisions, style guides, and design specifications for handoff to development teams
· Stay current on Salesforce release features (Lightning, Experience Cloud, Dynamic Forms, etc.) and evolving USWDS/508 guidance
Required Qualifications

· U.S. Citizenship required, with ability to obtain/maintain the clearance level required by the contract
· 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, including demonstrable experience designing for the Salesforce Platform (Lightning Experience and Experience Cloud)
· Strong portfolio showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for enterprise or government applications
· Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma required; Adobe XD/Sketch a plus)
· Working knowledge of the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
· Hands-on familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) components and patterns
· Solid understanding of Section 508 requirements and WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards, with experience designing for and validating accessible experiences
· Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable design artifacts (personas, journey maps, user stories)
· Strong communication and stakeholder-facilitation skills; comfortable presenting design rationale to both technical and non-technical federal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications

· Salesforce Certified Platform User Experience Designer - strongly preferred
· Additional Salesforce certifications, such as:
   o Salesforce Certified Administrator
o Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant
   o Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
o Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
· Prior experience supporting federal or other public-sector clients (civilian agencies, DoD, or state/local government)
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies in a consulting environment
· Experience contributing to or maintaining a formal design system/component library
· Front-end fluency (HTML/CSS/basic LWC markup) sufficient to collaborate closely with developers on implementation details.

Flexible work from home options available.
