The BDR (Business Development Representative) position is a vital role within Teslar Software. Simply put, BDRs qualify leads for our company's sales force. BDRs generate qualified leads primarily through outbound phone and email efforts. The Business Development Rep within Teslar Software is responsible for prospecting, researching, qualifying, and transitioning new sales leads to our Account Executives. Individuals chosen for the BDR team must be highly motivated and ambitious self-starters, able to identify and develop new business prospects from company-provided prospect lists as well as individual research. A dynamic and relational personality with a drive to reach decision makers is a must. You will be responsible for calling into small and mid-sized financial institutions to uncover opportunities and needs for new software solutions to then secure appointments for closing with our Account Executives. This position offers a generous base and incentive for each qualified lead the BDR successfully generates.


Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable with making a high volume of calls per day
  • Candidate who is coachable, receptive to feedback, and eager to expand skills and take on increasing responsibility
  • Ability to listen and identify prospect's needs and opportunities for their institution
  • Driven to quickly demonstrate product value and communicate accordingly
  • Able to provide accurate data entry and sales reporting within CRM
  • Capable of meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets and goals
  • Confident with banking terms and processes or strong desire to learn them quickly

Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and simultaneous relationships
  • High level of software and technical comprehension
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • 1-2 years of banking experience a plus
  • Previous sales experience preferred
