Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (Entry Level or Specialty)

This role focuses on promoting innovative pharmaceutical products to primary care physicians. It is an ideal position for experienced industry reps or professionals looking to break into the pharmaceutical field.

Purpose & Scope

Achieve territory sales goals by promoting pharmaceutical products and services to physicians and other medical personnel within the assigned geography. Educate customers on product use, characteristics, advantages, indicated treatments, and related developments. Represent the company professionally, maintain visibility and customer satisfaction, and build effective relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Promote and educate physicians on product use through one‑on‑one meetings, group presentations, and company‑approved promotional programs.
  • Work in the field during the day each week for call planning, customer follow‑up, presentation preparation, appointment scheduling, and report generation.
  • Maintain high call and field productivity, meet call plans, and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to ethical practices, compliance guidelines, and promotional regulations.
  • Execute company‑approved product marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities.
  • Support target customers with approved sales materials and promotional activities identified by Sales Management.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchises and co‑promotion partners; manage company equipment and promotional materials in compliance with guidelines.
  • Execute territory sales strategy through annual and regional plans and call activity reports.
  • Accurately report sales call activities, territory expenses, and written reports within deadlines set by the Regional Sales Manager.
