As a Robotics Technician I Testing, youll play a key role in supporting prototype and production work cell testing, working alongside engineers and operators to help shape the future of automation. Robotics Technician I - Testing


Job Summary:

Robotics Technician I - Testing is an entry level position where the technician supports testing on cutting-edge robotic workcells. Day-to-day tasks will involve facilitating testing on prototypes and production workcells, coordinating with workcell operators and engineers, preparing and resetting the workcells and test materials for each test, organizing items, tracking inventory, and simple preventative maintenance checks on the workcells.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform repetitive basic tests by feeding items, bins, trays, or objects into the workcell exactly as specified in the test procedure (e.g., placing items on conveyors, loading fixtures, refilling hoppers).
  • Visually monitor robot operation cycle-by-cycle; immediately stop tests and report anomalies such as crashes, missed picks, dropped parts, unusual sounds, or error codes.
  • Accurately document and log cycle counts, success/failure rates, and basic observations in test logs, spreadsheets, or digital forms when needed
  • Perform simple daily robot care: wipe sensors, clear debris/jams, and simple preventive maintenance checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workcell and work area; follow lockout/tagout and safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in data collection and offer recommendations for improvements for test features when necessary
  • Utilize safe-entry devices, HMIs, and teach pendants to safely work around and in prototype and production level robotic workcells
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians, management, and any contract partners to provide clear communication, timely updates, and exceptional customer service
  • Actively support and integrate into the company culture by consistently upholding its core values, purpose, and mission.
  • Exhibits behaviors that reflect a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and consistent performance to achieve client and company goals
  • Responds to requests for information from other departments
  • Participates in on-site meetings and training as needed
  • Work from 12pm-9pm

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a background check and employment eligibility verification (Federal I-9)
  • Must possess a friendly and collaborative demeanor to work as a part of team
  • Competency in following quality control and safety measures
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a part of a cohesive team environment
  • Ability to follow instructions of engineer or supervisor precisely and consistently
  • Must possess initiative, and common sense
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to stand / be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to be mobile throughout the labs and workspace
  • Demonstrated work ethic and reliable attendance
  • Ability to commute reliably to work flexible schedules and shifts to meet demands and needs of company and client deadlines
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and without accommodation
