Location: UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center, US:CO:Pueblo
Department: Dieticians
Work Schedule: Full Time, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Plans, coordinates, and implements nutrition therapy services for assigned patient populations as a competent-level dietitian.
This role is evenly split between inpatient and outpatient oncology (20 hours each). In the inpatient setting, you'll collaborate with a team of eight RDs across multiple units. The outpatient oncology portion focuses on supporting radiation patients through side-effect management education, weight maintenance, group presentations, and enteral nutrition. You'll participate in multidisciplinary care in both areas. Ideal for an RD seeking experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology.
Responsibilities:
  • Assesses patient's nutritional status and needs, deriving nutrition diagnosis from assessment data.
  • Develops interventions and plan of care on best available evidence and best practices.
  • Assesses patient understanding and compliance with nutrition interventions and plan of care. Monitors patient progress; measures and evaluates patient outcomes.
  • Participates in and coordinates departmental initiatives relative to patient care. May conduct education programs for patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care team members/departments, and/or the public. Functions as a preceptor in support of the academic enterprise.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
    1 year of experience in Clinical Nutrition.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
