- POSITION PURPOSE
- Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks for patients’ Activities of Daily Living to promote comfort and safety, assists RN with the collection of patient data and performs selected procedures. Complies with established standards and procedures.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
- High School or Equivalent (GED)
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant.
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

- PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Promptly and clearly observes and communicates to the RN changes in the patient’s condition.
- Patient rooms and department work areas are organized and maintained in a neat, clean and well-supplied manner.
- Assists the patients by orienting them to the hospital routine in a sincere and helpful manner.
- Recognizes the occurrence of life-threatening situations and emergencies and takes the appropriate actions in a timely manner.
