About the Role:
The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Health Care Services industry. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. This role requires compassionate communication with patients and their families, fostering a supportive and informative environment. Ultimately, the RN helps maintain the smooth operation of healthcare services by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid and current RN license in Texas.
  • Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience working as an RN or in a similar nursing role.
  • Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a healthcare facility similar to the job location, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Skills:
The RN utilizes clinical skills daily to assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform nursing procedures with precision and care. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care. Organizational skills help manage multiple patient needs and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
