Entry Level Rn Adn information
What is the difference between Entry Level Rn Adn vs Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)?
| Aspect | Entry Level Rn Adn | Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), RN license | Practical Nursing diploma or certificate, LPN license |
| Work Environment | Hospitals, clinics, long-term care, more complex patient care | Long-term care, clinics, less complex patient care |
| Job Responsibilities | Assessments, care planning, administering medications, patient education | Basic patient care, vital signs, assisting RNs and doctors |
Entry Level Rn Adn professionals are registered nurses with an ADN credential, allowing them to perform more advanced patient care tasks compared to LPNs. LPNs typically have less education and focus on basic patient care. Both roles are vital in healthcare, but RNs generally have broader responsibilities and higher scope of practice.
