Description:
  • Clinical Oncology RN within the Lacks Cancer Center. Includes radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, breast center and palliative care for oncology. Join our dedicated oncology team as a Registered Nurse, hours of operation are Monday through Friday, Day shift float - with no weekends or holidays. This role is a supportive, patient-centered environment, and unlimited career growth opportunities within Trinity Health. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to oncology patients.

Location: Lacks Cancer Center, Trinity Health Grand Rapids
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift | No weekends or holidays
Join our dedicated oncology team at Trinity Health's Lacks Cancer Center, where compassion meets excellence in patient care. As a Clinic Nurse, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the oncology continuum-including radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, breast health, and palliative care.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform patient assessments and telephone triage
  • Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols
  • Provide individualized education to patients and caregivers
  • Communicate effectively with ordering providers and care teams
  • Manage treatment side effects and coordinate medication refills
  • Support patients throughout their oncology journey

What You Will Need
Education
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and program
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Grand Rapids requirement: If hired with an ADN, enrollment in a BSN program is required within 6 months of hire, with completion within 4 years of hire
Licensure
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience required
  • New graduate nurses must apply through the RN Residency Program, offered three times per year (February, July, and October)
