Job Description
About Us
ISMG is a leading B2B media and intelligence organization, serving the cybersecurity and enterprise technology market with a collaborative ecosystem of industry news, events, education, and advisory services.
CXO Advisor is ISMG's cybersecurity advisory practice, built to help mid-size companies solve critical security, compliance, risk, and leadership challenges through fractional leadership, cybersecurity advisory, and AI governance support.
We are growing quickly and looking for hungry, driven SDRs who want to build their sales career in one of the fastest-growing areas of cybersecurity.
The Opportunity
We are hiring an entry-level Sales Development Representative to help create new pipeline and book qualified meetings with IT, security, compliance, and executive leaders.
This is a high-activity outbound role for someone who is motivated, coachable, competitive, and comfortable making a high volume of calls every day. You will make roughly 200 to 300 outbound dials per day, along with targeted email and LinkedIn outreach, to generate conversations and set meetings for the sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn, grow, and advance towards becoming a full-cycle Account Executive. Prior SDR, BDR, cold calling, recruiting, appointment setting, or lead generation experience is a plus, but not required-entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
  • Prospect into mid-market and enterprise accounts, identifying decision makers across IT, cybersecurity, compliance, risk, and executive leadership
  • Engage prospects through a high volume of daily cold calls, emails, and targeted LinkedIn outreach
  • Book qualified meetings for vCISO, cybersecurity advisory, compliance readiness, AI governance, and fractional leadership services
  • Manage daily activity, follow-ups, and notes in CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Work closely with sales leadership to improve messaging, call scripts, objection handling, and outbound strategy
  • Build strong sales habits, hit activity goals, and consistently create pipeline

What You Bring
  • Desire to build a long-term sales career (recent graduates or entry-level candidates welcome)
  • Coachability and willingness to learn cybersecurity and consultative selling
  • Prior experience in business development, inside sales, cold calling, appointment setting, recruiting, or lead generation is a plus
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, technology, consulting, or and professional services is a plus
  • Comfort with a high volume of daily outreach activity, including cold calls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong phone presence and the ability to speak confidently with prospects
  • Excellent organization, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail
  • Competitive mindset, strong work ethic, and a desire to win
  • Ability to work onsite in New York City 5 days a week

Why Join CXO Advisor by ISMG?
  • Join an early-stage, high-growth cybersecurity advisory business backed by a trusted global brand
  • Help companies solve real cybersecurity, compliance, AI governance, and leadership challenges
  • Learn directly from experienced sales leaders and cybersecurity executives
  • Build valuable outbound sales skills in a market with strong demand
  • Clear growth path into Account Executive or other revenue roles
  • Competitive base salary plus commission
