Position Overview
We are adding an Operations Compliance Specialist to our Compliance Department to support our Northwest and West coast region. This position will report to a Regional Compliance Manager.
In this role, your key responsibilities will be to assist with the development of Project, District, and Fixed Facility mitigation action plan (MAPs), annual assessments and continuous improvement of the operations compliance program for the district(s) you support. You will be expected to understand regulatory risks and concerns, develop, implement, and document improvements to address deficiencies and mitigate risks. The role requires the ability to assist operations in regulatory risks and changes that impact our work activities in Engineering and Construction. You will be involved in key regulatory areas which may include, but not limited to: antitrust laws, prevailing wage / Davis Bacon and Related Acts, FAR clauses, OSHA and ATF. You will be expected to collaborate closely with numerous individuals and levels throughout the Company to promote a risk mitigation culture, assist in understanding regulatory requirements, and consistently communicate to compliance management.

Location
This position is located in the Vancouver, WA office, with travel required to other Kiewit offices, project locations and Kiewit Headquarters up to 50% of the time. Relocation assistance for this role may be provided.
Responsibilities
• Support the Regional Compliance Manager (RCM) on ongoing project compliance activities, including the project startup process, creation of mitigation action plans, compliance issues/findings and remediation processes.
• Assist with training Project Compliance Coordinators (PCCs) and provide other staff training in compliance as necessary.
• Support assigned districts in relevant compliance topics by learning key regulatory topics that include, but are not limited to, antitrust laws, prevailing wage / Davis Bacon and Related Acts, OSHA, and ATF regulations.
• Operate in our InEight tool for compliance daily.
• Analyze compliance data using PowerBI and Microsoft tools
• Assist the RCM with performing compliance assessments per the Operations Compliance Program, and ethics and compliance reviews of potential JV partners and aid in reporting compliance issues/findings to District Management.
• Ensure remediation of assessment findings and assist with implementing the Elevated Risk Project Program on identified projects.
• Review trends in tasks and identify process improvement opportunities for the field.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize a variety of tasks with competing deadlines.
• Participate in the administration and distribution of compliance results.
• Identify best practices and lessons learned for the continued improvement of Operations Compliance.
• Willingness to quickly learn Kiewit's unique organizational structure.

Qualifications
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Internship or a year of construction or engineering field experience or related experience with exposure to regulatory compliance topics desired.
• Demonstrate a high level of communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and think analytically.
• Utilize critical thinking to offer practical solutions.
• Must be able to travel, as needed, up to 50% of the time.

Base Compensation: 70,000 - 75,000
