As an Agent with FBL Financial Group, Inc. and its Affiliates - Omaha, you will work closely with clients to help them identify their everyday risks. We offer all lines of insurance, but the initial focus for our Agents is the traditional Home/Auto/Umbrella products, and life insurance products.


Our Agents educate clients on how our products will help protect them from their everyday risks. The ideal candidate for our entry-level insurance agent position has the solid communication skills it takes to drive insurance sales among potential clients and new clients. Bring a friendly attitude and a passion for customer service, and we’ll invest our resources into training you to be a successful insurance sales representative!

Compensation:

$80,000 - $120,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Develop risk management strategies for each customer to ensure his or her policy needs are continuously met
  • Take ownership of ensuring there are accurate records of all necessary bookkeeping, client, and sales reports in order to track and communicate the status of assigned goals
  • Offer personal attention when pursuing new clients through various marketing strategies to grow your existing portfolio of policyholders
  • Spend time listening to existing, new, and prospective clients to evaluate their needs and stage-of-life priorities before presenting insurance plan options for their specific circumstances
  • Stay abreast of any changes to rules or policies within the insurance agency to effectively amend insurance programs for existing and prospective clients

Qualifications:
  • Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial
  • Job seekers must already have or be willing to get an insurance license
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required; customer service experience is a plus
  • Candidates must have some computer experience, including the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs
