YOUR IMPACT
IB Operations is seeking a highly-motivated associate who is looking to work closely with Investment Banking on the execution of Equity transactions. As part of the team, this professional will be given the opportunity partner closely with Equity Capital Markets (ECM) on the front to back support of IPOs, Follow Ons, Blocks and Convertible offerings.
OUR IMPACT
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted are that partners with all parts of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and asset management capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.
The NY Equity Syndicate Execution team is responsible for providing a full suite of deal execution and control functions in support of financing transactions originated by ECM. Responsibilities will include learning daily functions, establishing strong relationships with the business, and participating in strategic initiatives.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  • Operational support for IPOs, Follow Ons, Blocks, and Convertible offerings executed in US markets
  • ECM transaction support from pre-launch through to completion of all post pricing functions
  • Provide guidance to ECM with regards to operational processes affecting deal activity
  • Respond to a changing and dynamic environment while maintaining integrity in our core ideologies of risk management, control and client service
  • Liaise with IB, Legal, Controllers, Engineering and Operations' counterparts for seamless deal execution
  • Drive initiatives designed to promote strategy and efficiency

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • The Ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage priorities in a deadline driven role
    • Ability to effectively and extensively interact with all levels (from entry level analysts through managing directors)
    • Solid understanding of operational control framework
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and email management
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to think critically and creatively about process improvement to ensure we are adapting to meet the needs of the business and the firm
    • Undergraduate degree with 3 years of experience in financial services

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $80000-$135000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
