Overview
The Sales Trader Middle Office Analyst is an entry-level full time on-site position responsible for supporting the Mortgage-Backed Securities and Whole Loan Trading institutional sales and trading team through the complete trade cycle from trade execution, ticketing, trade reconciliation, pair-off, and all other client service.
The successful candidate will work closely with middle office, senior sales traders, and clients to facilitate all facets of trade execution for both cusip (TBA and pools) and non-cusips (whole loans) while developing a strong understanding of the MBS, Whole Loan and US Treasury markets.
This role provides exposure to institutional capital markets activities and offers an immediate path toward becoming a fully licensed Sales Trader.
Responsibilities:
Trading & Market Support
  • Support the execution of client trades across designated MBS and Whole Loan asset classes
  • Resolve client trade issues and reconcile
  • Monitor market activity, pricing, trading flows, and economic developments.

Client Service & Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with institutional clients
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding market activity and trade execution
  • Trade execution and confirmations
  • Assist with client onboarding and account maintenance activities

Research & Analytics
  • Analyze financial markets, economic releases, and industry developments
  • Assist the desk in preparing daily trading reports.
  • Utilize Bloomberg, trading platforms, and other market information tools.

Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with SEC, FINRA, MSRB, and firm policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications.
  • Understand and adhere to established trading limits and risk parameters.
  • Participate in regulatory, compliance, and continuing education programs.

Operational Support
  • Coordinate trade settlement and resolution of operational issues
  • Work closely with middle office, compliance, and technology teams
  • Support process improvement initiatives across the trading platform
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or related field.

Experience
  • Internship or prior exposure to financial markets preferred
  • Experience with financial analysis or capital markets activities is a plus

  • Strong interest in financial markets and trading
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Candidate must be willing and able to obtain required securities licenses, including within established firm timelines following hire:
