Job description

Eaton's Electrical Sector America Power Distribution Controls Assemblies (PDCA) division is currently seeking an HR Coordinator. This role is based at our Wilsonville, Oregon manufacturing site.
Reporting to the site HR Manager, our HR Coordinator will provide day-to-day HR support at the site by coordinating and executing core human resources processes, with a focus on employee relations, leave administration, policy guidance, and HR program support. This role follows established processes, exercises sound judgment within defined scope, and partners with or escalates to HR leadership as necessary.
In this role you will:
• Coordinate and manage routine employee relations issues, provide guidance to employees and front-line leaders in alignment with company policies, and escalating higher risk matters as appropriate.
• Administer leave of absence programs from intake through resolution, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves (e.g., Paid Leave Oregon), while ensuring timely communication and compliance.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, supporting consistent application across the site, and assisting with communication of updates and requirements.
• Execute and support key HR processes and initiatives, including onboarding, compliance activities, audits, and employee engagement programs, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities for hourly and entry-level roles, including scheduling, candidate communication, and new hire orientation.
• Deliver responsive, service-oriented HR support by addressing employee inquiries and maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities, site events, and employee relations initiatives that support a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Coordinate training activities, including scheduling, tracking completion, and supporting compliance with required learning programs.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1-3 years of Human Resources experience supporting employee relations, performance management, HR operations, or similar HR functions (Internships or Co-Op experiences qualify for this requirement)
• General knowledge of Oregon HR practices and policies
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Wilsonville, OR will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution
• SHRM-CP/PHR
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting employee relations and/or leave of absence administration
• Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and state leave programs (e.g., Paid Leave Oregon)
• Experience working with HR systems (e.g., HRIS, case management tools)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures in a consistent and practical manner
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process execution
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within defined scope and escalate issues as appropriate
Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing/production floor environments. Regular presence on the production floor is required to support employees and business operations
• Personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, protective eyewear, and high-visibility vest, is required when in designated production areas
• The production environment may be non-temperature-controlled and subject to varying conditions
• Role requires the ability to move throughout the facility, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching, to effectively support employees and HR activities
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
