Job description

General Summary:

The Risk Analyst will hold key responsibilities related to the administrative handling and maintenance of the corporate property, casualty, and specialty insurance programs. This position will work directly with the Director of Risk Management to provide administrative and analytical support for the Risk Management team.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the annual renewal of commercial insurance policies (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Comp, D&O, Cyber).
  • Gather underwriting data, complete applications, and review policies for accuracy.
  • Review, issue, and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
  • Manage payment of invoices related to insurance premiums, bond issuance, and professional services utilized within the Risk Management department.
  • Prepare and file audit responses and manage requirements with various state and federal entities.
  • Request and validate loss run data, payroll and exposure gathering during quarterly and annual state reporting periods, along with support of the insurance program annual renewal.
  • Support with data integrity across rating exposures.
  • Assist with claims team support and special projects as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of insurance related experience with insurance carrier, broker, or risk management roles
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts and insurance policies, especially Acord forms and leasing requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with strong requirement for Excel proficiency
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with firm deadline
Desired Requirements:
  • Previous experience with Risk Management Information Systems (e.g., Origami, Riskconnect, etc.)
  • Familiarity with large data set validation and queries
  • Insurance designation or certification
  • Financial or accounting education, background, or experience

Target Salary Range: $68,000-$83,000
