Business Analyst, Commercial Lines

The Business Analyst, Commercial Lines plays a vital role in the operational execution and growth of our Commercial Lines business. This individual will be working out of our Bryant Park office in New York City and will support ongoing operational and strategic growth initiatives across Commercial Lines. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for supporting project management on key Commercial Lines initiatives, helping achieve our data and analytics goals to identify and provide valuable insights for CL leadership and our field teams. In addition, this individual will assist in the development of capabilities/dashboards via Claude to enhance operational efficiency and drive Organic Growth and Retention across the field in Commercial Lines. In this role, the individual will be working in an entrepreneurial environment, bringing forth and implementing new ideas and solutions. This individual can take a project and run with it, while providing their own innovative ideas and ways to execute.

Responsibilities

Support the Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Lines on various key CL initiatives.

Provide project management support on projects related to key CL initiatives as designated.

Identify trends and insights within our data and develop "dashboard" capabilities to more efficiently and effectively inform CL leadership and drive OG and Retention.

Demonstrate understanding of Commercial Lines business, goals, and initiatives.

Perform research and data analysis regarding HUB Commercial Lines growth opportunities.

With the Chief Operating Officer, support Commercial Lines Industry/Product practice leaders and regional teams to help address needs across the Commercial Lines business.

Work collaboratively with the Commercial Lines team to achieve established goals

Support the Commercial Lines leadership team in overall initiatives and processes including research and preparation.

Other job-related duties as assigned and/or as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting

Entry level to 2 years' work experience in insurance, operations, analytics or related field

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with AI tools (i.e. Claude) and Microsoft office

Professional and detail-oriented with urgency and initiative to drive projects forward.

A persistent, creative problem solver.

Highly organized with an inherent sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, with proven ability to take initiative.
