Our client is seeking a Junior Payment Processing Specialist to join their team in Jersey City, NJ. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated candidate looking to build a career in financial services and banking operations. Key Responsibilities

Payment Processing

  • Process domestic and international payment instructions across multiple currencies.
  • Enter, verify, and repair both manual and automated payment instructions.
  • Process transactions received via SWIFT, BBH WorldView, fax, and other payment channels.
  • Research and process payment instructions using the Keystone system.
  • Ensure all transactions are completed accurately and within established processing deadlines.
  • Respond to inquiries from Account Executives and internal business partners.

Risk & Controls

  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Identify, escalate, and communicate operational risks appropriately.
  • Escalate unclear or incomplete payment instructions to management.
  • Recommend process and control improvements to reduce operational risk.
  • Support initiatives that improve accuracy, reduce errors, and increase straight-through processing (STP).

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline payment processing workflows.
  • Recommend automation opportunities for manual payment processes.
  • Help improve operational efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Continuously seek improvements to enhance client service and productivity.
