General Description of Position
The Microwave RF Engineer is responsible for the development, testing, and validation of mmWave and RF technologies, actively contributing throughout the product development cycle. The role focuses on highly integrated wireless systems and advanced measurement techniques.

Responsibilities include passive and active device characterization, cascaded measurements, and over-the-air (OTA) testing of horn and phased-array antennas. The engineer develops automated test setups, controls instrumentation, analyzes large datasets, and performs troubleshooting as needed.

This position owns circuit- and system-level solutions for wireless chipsets, working closely with design teams and technicians. The role includes presenting technical results, interpreting schematics, supporting firmware or test program updates, and occasionally leading projects or mentoring team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and validate RF and microwave mixed-signal circuits including amplifiers, mixers, filters, PLLs, and frequency synthesizers while supporting multiple time-sensitive project milestones.
  • Apply advanced RF measurement techniques including calibration and de-embedding, small-signal analysis, mixer spur analysis, linear and nonlinear device characterization, filtering, and EVM evaluation.
  • Perform repeatable and accurate RF characterization and data validation using Python and MATLAB; utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) as needed.
  • Operate and support RF laboratory equipment including vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum/signal analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, LCR meters, and digital multimeters.
